You’re going to need an empty stomach this weekend because you could be trying chili from all over Central PA from both amateurs and professionals. All for a great cause.
Alex Smith was 22-years-old when he tragically passed away in a car crash. He loved his family, his church and getting people together over food.
“When he passed away, we thought let’s do something fun. Let’s have a chili cook off!” Alex’s mom Terri Smith said. “So that’s what we started with. For his legacy just bringing people together with food and helping kids with scholarships.”
In his honor, Alex’s parents put together a chili cook off at Greystone Public House. Alex was an apprentice chef there.
