The 5th Anniversary Alex’s Chili Cook-Off for a cause is happening Sunday September 22nd at the Greystone Brew House in York County.
This year, the cook-off proceeds are going towards a brand new scholarship for culinary students at HACC.
Alex Smith graduated with a culinary degree from HACC, and was an apprentice chef at Greystone until his tragic passing in 2018.
The scholarship and the cook-off is hosted each year in his honor.
“We’re just so excited, Alex would be so thrilled to see all that we’re doing in his name,” said Alex’s mom, Terry.
The cookoff will feature raffles, crafts, prizes, and activities for the whole family.
Tickets are $25 for adults, and $10 for kids ages 6-12. A family pack of tickets is also available for $55.
